FAQs
Q. What is DGIQ? And what is EDW?
A. The Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ) is the world’s most comprehensive event dedicated entirely to Data Governance and Information Quality, and Enterprise Data World (EDW) has long been recognized as the most comprehensive educational conference on Data Management. In the Spring of 2025, we’re combining these industry-leading conferences to offer an unparalleled learning experience.
Q. When and where will this event take place?
A. Our next DGIQ + EDW will take place May 5-9, 2025, at the Westin Anaheim Resort in Anaheim, CA.
The Westin Anaheim Resort combines the best of work and relaxation, with seven diverse dining options, including a rooftop lounge offering breathtaking views of Disney’s California Adventure Park. Located right across from the magic of Disneyland Resort and steps away from the Anaheim Convention Center, this AAA Four Diamond hotel is thoughtfully designed to bring harmony to both work and play. Learn more here.
Q. What makes this event so special?
A. DATAVERSITY events are more than just regular business conferences – they’re an ongoing community and network of data professionals from across the globe. We continue to focus our events on educational programs that emphasize peer-to-peer learning through case studies, practical experience, and in-person networking.
Now, with DGIQ joining forces with EDW, we’re bringing even more insights and actionable strategies together for people just like you – those ready to take their data-driven organizations to the next level!
Q. Why combine DGIQ and EDW?
A. With such a large overlap between the topics of the most-loved sessions at DGIQ and EDW, we decided to combine these two great events under one roof. Combining DGIQ and EDW gives us the chance to combine the best of both worlds while giving you a chance to network and share solutions with a wider range of data practitioners.
The EDW track will focus on Data Strategy, Architecture, Data Literacy, and Analytics, while the DGIQ track will focus on Data Governance, Quality, Metadata Management, and MDM.
Q. Who attends?
A. Good question! In terms of industries, every major sector of the economy is represented, though the largest industry groups are usually financial services, insurance, health care, online commerce, and government. The range of job titles and functions is also very diverse, including chief data officers, VP and director-level IT executives, data architects, analysts, auditors, and consultants. And increasingly, this DGIQ event attracts managers from “the business side,” who now make up almost 50% of the audience.
Q. How do I get to speak at the conference?
A. Most of the sessions are selected through a Call for Presentations (CFP) process, which is now closed. You're welcome to submit to be considered if we need a replacement session at this link.
Additionally, some sessions, such as Keynotes and Panels, are developed through specific invitations to the speakers. There are also some vendor speaking sessions that are identified on the program agenda as “sponsored.”
Q. How do I become a sponsor?
A. Read more at this link and reach out to Francesca Djoufack for more information on how to become a sponsor for this event.
Q. Where do I book a hotel room?
A. Learn about the hotel, parking, and transportation on our Travel Page.
Q. Will my registration include access to any recorded sessions?
A. All in-person registrants* receive access to DATAVERSITY Training Center's Essential Subscription for one year, which includes any sessions recorded at this event and previous face-to-face conference presentations + webinars, podcast episodes, product demos, case studies, and online conferences, as well as the complete catalog of “What Is…” on-demand courses, and all related insider content.
Essential Subscription access, including any videos recorded at DGIQ West + EDW, will be shared via email approximately 4 weeks after the event's end.
*Applicable to all in-person registrations with the exception of the Exhibit Booth Pass registration option.
Q. What sessions will be recorded?
A. We typically record all Keynotes and many of the Conference Sessions and Product Sessions (the exact number of recorded tracks will be determined closer to the conference dates). We do not record longer-form content like Tutorials, Workshops, or Seminars.
Q. What if I can't attend in person?
A. We offer three non-attendee subscription options via our Registration Page. These options include access to any sessions recorded at the event, so you can watch on-demand in the comfort of your home or office!
Access to all Non-Attendee Packages/Subscriptions, including any videos recorded at DGIQ West + EDW, will be shared via email approximately 4 weeks after the event's end.
Q. I received the offer of a paid attendee list. Is this a real offer?
A. If you receive a message offering access to an attendee list for any of our events, please be aware that this is not a genuine offer. The only organization with access to the list of event attendees is DATAVERSITY, and we do not sell or rent this list to anyone. Our recommendation is to report the email as junk or phishing and refrain from replying or clicking any of the links within the email.
Q. What COVID-19 protocols will be implemented at DGIQ West + EDW?
A. In reviewing the current COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC and the specific requirements in place in Anaheim, CA, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination or negative testing in order to attend this event.
DATAVERSITY still recommends that all attendees take measures to manage their own health risks and protect themselves by wearing face coverings (masks) indoors and being vaccinated with the latest available boosters at least two weeks prior to attending the conference.
Q. What if COVID-19 requirements change in Anaheim, CA?
A. If conditions around COVID-19 change such that stricter protocols are required by any health authority with jurisdiction in Anaheim, CA, then we will notify attendees immediately.
Q. What if my question wasn't answered above?
A. For registration questions, email registration@dataversity.net. For all other queries, email events@dataversity.net.
