FAQs

Q. What is DGIQ? And what is EDW?

A. The Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ) is the world’s most comprehensive event dedicated entirely to Data Governance and Information Quality, and Enterprise Data World (EDW) has long been recognized as the most comprehensive educational conference on Data Management. In the Spring of 2025, we’re combining these industry-leading conferences to offer an unparalleled learning experience.

Q. When and where will this event take place?

A. Our next DGIQ + EDW will take place May 5-9, 2025, at the Westin Anaheim Resort in Anaheim, CA.

The Westin Anaheim Resort combines the best of work and relaxation, with seven diverse dining options, including a rooftop lounge offering breathtaking views of Disney’s California Adventure Park. Located right across from the magic of Disneyland Resort and steps away from the Anaheim Convention Center, this AAA Four Diamond hotel is thoughtfully designed to bring harmony to both work and play. Learn more here

Q. What makes this event so special?

A. DGIQ is not just a regular business conference – it's an ongoing community and network of Data Governance and Information Quality professionals. As with all DATAVERSITY conferences, the educational program emphasizes peer-to-peer learning through the sharing of case studies and practical experience.

Now, with DGIQ West joining forces with EDW, we’re bringing even greater insights and actionable strategies for attendees eager to take their data-driven organizations to the next level.

Q. Why combine DGIQ and EDW?

A. There was a large overlap in the data governance and quality portions of EDW within the DGIQ program. So, EDW will now focus on data strategy, architecture, data literacy, and analytics, while DGIQ will focus on data governance, quality, metadata management, and MDM.

Q. Who attends?

A. Good question! In terms of industries, every major sector of the economy is represented, though the largest industry groups are usually financial services, insurance, health care, online commerce, and government. The range of job titles and functions is also very diverse, including chief data officers, VP and director-level IT executives, data architects, analysts, auditors, and consultants. And increasingly, this DGIQ event attracts managers from “the business side,” who now make up almost 50% of the audience.

Q. How do I get to speak at the conference?

A. Most of the sessions are selected through a Call for Presentations (CFP) process, which is now closed. You're welcome to submit to be considered if we need a replacement session at this link. All speaker notifications will be completed by January 8th.

Additionally, some sessions, such as Keynotes and Panels, are developed through specific invitations to the speakers. There are also some vendor speaking sessions that are identified on the program agenda as “sponsored.”

Q. How do I become a sponsor?

Our recommendation is to report the email as junk or phishing and refrain from replying or clicking any of the links within the email.
