 versity.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=164&proposalid=16001\nThis session presen
ts a case study on how we developed an in-house data quality dashboard usin
g SQL and Power BI without relying on expensive software solutions. The pre
sentation will showcase:\n\n	SQL code examples.\n
Definitions of the six dimensions of data quality.\n
Techniques for creating a Power BI dashboard with easily digestible informa
tion.\n	Methods for presenting data quality insights to leadership.\n
Lessons learned along the way.\n\nThis effort was conducted in alignment wi
th the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) federal reporting requiremen
ts, which evaluate how well online systems/databases track and accurately r
eport Child Welfare data. Before implementing this data quality report, the
re was no comprehensive tracking of data quality. Our tool now provides lea
dership with visibility and insights into data performance, ensuring compli
ance with data quality standards.\n\nThe session will demonstrate how this
approach to tracking dynamic data without specialized software makes it acc
essible for any organization to replicate and implement.\n\nKey Takeaways:\
n\n	Building population datasets in SQL.\n
Calculating the six dimensions of data quality: Consistency, Accuracy, Vali
 dity, Completeness, Uniqueness, and Timeliness.\n
Generating median and average metrics for timeliness.\n
Presenting data quality insights in Power BI.\n
Bridging technical work with actionable leadership insights.\n\n
